Crop Rotation series
|
This series of works are part of the origin of the use of 4 x 4 grids as the basis of many Allotment works. These derive from the 4-year rotation of crops employed on the HICA plot, with, as with standard instructional diagrams, differing squares representing the progression of crops; potatoes, brassicas/legumes, mixed crops and roots. As such, they present an engagement with spatial distribution over time, with arrangements determined through varying organisational principles.
